Conservation

Our Impact

Through many generations, we used to fish up to 80% of the shark commercial fishery landings in the state. Having seen the decline of local shark populations over the years, made us realize we needed to transition into conservation of these majestic animals and ensure sustainability for our future generations.
We are now transitioning into sustainable tourism and with your help we will be saving our sharks.

  1. Join our expeditions and support local fishermen as they shift toward sustainable tourism.

  2. Be aware of what you're eating! Your fish and chips or empanada could contain shark. Choose sustainable seafood options and look for certified fish.

  3. Check your cosmetics for squalene, and consider avoiding products that contain it the next time you shop.

  4. Raise awareness and use your vote to advocate for sustainable shark fisheries to be included in political discussions.

  5. Practice reducing, reusing, and recycling to minimize your greenhouse gas emissions and help protect our oceans.

  6. Stay away from fishing tours that engage in harmful practices or ignore local regulations.
